I’ve just released sheet music for two more songs from my Afterplay album. These are Piano Transcriptions of “New Vision” (track #3) and “Reach For The Stars” (track #10). They’re available now on my website as pdf downloads. Go to: http://www.briankelly.com/sheet_music.php
My Afterplay album is eligible for Grammy Award consideration. The Recording Academy considers my Instrumental Album to be more “Pop” than Jazz, in league with artists such as Spyro Gyra, Boney James, Chris Botti… Recording Academy rules prohibit me from specifying which category it is listed in (field and category names and numbers are proprietary). Also this summer, I’ll be in the studio recording tracks for another original Contemporary Jazz album (the follow-up to Afterplay). Once again, I’ll be working with drummer David Rokeach and sax player Eric Crystal. Here’s a taste of the music: http://www.briankelly.com/cds/contemporary-jazz/
In June I’ll be rehearsing music for my solo piano album (Tomorrow’s Daydream) before going into the studio and recording this summer. There will be 11 tracks on the album (approximately 44 minutes total). Listen here: www.solopianoartist.com. I’m trying to come up with song titles for tracks #5, #7, and #11. If any images or titles come to mind, please send me your thoughts.
Sheet Music for all 11 compositions will be available for sale on my website after the album has been released.
